Lisa Garneau
Manager
Hi, I'm Lisa Garneau. I've met many of you working the desk at Body Language for the past 8 years. I also take advantage of working out with some of the most talented instructors in the biz! In fact, I met my husband, Brent, in Toni's kickboxing class. After a jab, a series of roundhouses and an uppercut--HE SUCCUMBED! We have a 3 1/2 year old son, Cole, together. I also have two other children Chad (22) and Carly (18). Chad has graduated from the University of Oklahoma in meteorology. Carly is enrolled at Oakland Community College working toward a nursing degree. When we can get away our favorite destination is Las Vegas! When we can't get away we visit our game room where Dave VonBehren painted a mural-sized rendition of Las Vegas. Check out a mini-version near the kids' room on "Dave's Shelf." Talent never ceases at Body Language!

Nancy Powell
Yoga Teacher
I received my certification in August of 2004 after training with Jonny Kest at the Center for Yoga in West Bloomfield, Michigan. I have been teaching Yoga for 3 years.  I started at Body Language in April of 2005.  My specialties are Better Backs Yoga and Short Form Ashtanga.  I come from a strong fitness background and have done it all from kickboxing to stepping to spinning to aerobics to running.  After receiving knee surgery I began my yoga practice and the rest is history.  I still continue to power walk and am a major lap swimmer.  I have given up any impact workouts.  I have been a school teacher for 30 years in various elementary grades.  At the present time I am teaching third grade.   I have been married for 30 years and my husband Don and I have 2 wonderful grown boys.  I thoroughly enjoy teaching at Body Language and feel so lucky to have met so many genuine, kind and friendly people..

Ronda Diegel
Yoga Teacher
I’m a Registered Yoga Teacher, Licensed Psychologist, and Certified Enneagram Teacher who first immersed myself in yogic studies to begin a holistic healing program for my scoliosis. Not only did I find relief from pain, but, in yoga, I found a deeper connection to life and my primary spiritual practice. A yoga teacher since 2005, I invite my students to embrace the dance of breath and movement, letting go of judgment and reactivity, while creating space for greater self-acceptance, self-confidence, and inner peace. I work to integrate my knowledge as a psychologist with my calling as a yoga teacher by teaching therapeutic applications of yoga, with an emphasis on using yogic practices to heal the emotional body. I’ve sought additional certification through teacher training programs in Yoga for Depression & Anxiety and Yoga for Scoliosis. I am most grateful to my many wonderful teachers, including Linda Makowski, Amy Weintraub, and Elise Browning Miller. You can learn more about me on my website: www.drrondadiegel.com.

Kelly Hein
Fitness Instructor
Hi. My name is Kelly. I have been a fitness instructor for the past 22 years, teaching a variety of cardio styles and weight training. I also have a martial arts black belt, so I've taught karate and kickboxing over the years as well. Back in the day, I studied dance and taught ballroom dancing for Arthur Murray. I am deeply thankful for my own health and fitness, but the Earth moves for me when I get to be a part of helping someone else reach and maintain their own fitness goals. Recently, I spent a month visiting various classes at Body Language and getting to know its' staff and students. I was overwhelmed by the supportive, encouraging, friendly environment! I was brand new, yet fit right in. It's so easy to be new and find a fitness home at Body Language. I couldn't resist the opportunity to be a part of the team, so now I'm teaching a new cardio dance class and weight training. I love it! The other great joys in my life include my wonderful husband and 3 children, teaching art classes at St. Matthew Lutheran school (grades 1-8), and coaching cheerleading & softball. Hope to see you soon for a great workout!

I've been through two yoga Teacher Training sessions and began teaching Short Form Ashtanga and Vinyasa classes in July 2007. I truly enjoy sharing my yoga experience with others. I also enjoy running and ran a marathon in January 2004 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University and I've worked for Comerica Bank for 12 years in various positions. My husband and I have been married since 1995 and were blessed with twins in December 2004 (Christian and Isabelle) I'm grateful to be able to stay home with them. They definitely keep me busy! Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Amanda Juncaj

Hello I'm Amanda, I am a fitness instructor here at Body Language, as well as a wife and mother of two. I started in fitness as a fun way to get out of the house with little ones. I soon developed a passion for fitness. Now fitness has implored me to touch others. My goal as a fitness instructor is to educate as many people as I can. I want to create a sense of well being in the individuals I work with both mentally and physically. I currently hold national certifications in Personal Training, Pilates, kick boxing, Zumba, and of course group exercise. I am always looking for fun new healthy ways to get people interested in fitness, and look forward to the challenge.
